A koi fish wall art print in woodblock style: a red-orange koi and an indigo koi swim in a circle around each other before a pale full moon, framed by five-petal blue flowers, with the red labels 紅藍遊鯉 and 月下花影 and two seals on cream paper.
About the artwork
The picture is printed mainly in two colours, red-orange and indigo, so the pair of fish reads like a balanced yin-and-yang. Their scales and whiskers are carved in fine detail, and the water around them is suggested with thin ripple lines. The ring of blue flowers with white centres closes the scene like a garden window. The labels mean “red and blue koi at play” and “flower shadows under the moon.” Ukiyo-e inspired. Portrait.
Why you'll love it
- Balanced and harmonious. Two koi circling suggest partnership and good fortune.
- Two-colour elegance. Red and indigo on cream look classic and calm.
- A thoughtful gift. Lovely for a couple or a new home.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Hang it in a living room, a bathroom or an entry. White or natural frames keep it light; black strengthens the indigo. It suits 16" x 20" to 24" x 36".
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What do the red labels mean? 紅藍遊鯉 means “red and blue koi at play”; 月下花影 means “flower shadows under the moon.”
What does a koi pair symbolise? Two koi are linked with harmony and good fortune.
Will it suit a bathroom? Yes, on a wall away from direct splashes; framed canvas is the practical choice.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
