Parc national North Cascades

What's in the collection

North Cascades National Park is in Washington, and the subject here is water held inside a serrated range. Turquoise Diablo Lake bends below snow-streaked summits, forested slopes fall straight to the shoreline, and glaciated granite teeth and snowfields close the horizon behind. Peaks appear mirrored in still alpine water in some prints. Diablo Lake is named outright in one poster and returns through several others in the set. The park belongs to our US national parks wall art range, and hangs naturally with the rest of our Washington state wall art.

Ways to hang one park

Successive handlings of the same range: a vintage WPA travel poster, a flat screen-print WPA panel, retro wall art, a mid-century vector, a retro poster, a horizontal panorama, a classical oil painting, an impasto oil, and a watercolour so deep in teal it reads as a single colour. Lake turquoise, forest green and snow-streaked granite hold the set together for hanging two at once. The loosest version sits with our watercolor wall art, and the wall art size guide covers how each size hangs.

Sizes, paper and framing

Every design is offered on archival matte paper in nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4-A1 for European frames, and on matte canvas either stretched on a wooden bar or set in a solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. Printed with pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
