Parc national des Gates of the Arctic

What's in the collection

Gates of the Arctic sits in the far north of Alaska, and the collection keeps to the country the prints actually show: the granite Arrigetch Peaks, jagged Brooks Range ridges, glacial valleys and snowfields, and green tundra cut by turquoise braided water. A North Fork Koyukuk print follows that river as it winds below the range, and several designs set the peaks under a green aurora sky. These prints sit inside our wider US national parks wall art, next to the rest of our Alaska wall art.

Ways to hang one park

The same northern scene, handled a number of ways. The vintage WPA travel poster, WPA art and retro travel print keep to flat screen-print colour; the mid-century flat vector and retro wall art reduce the ridgelines to clean shapes; the horizontal panorama runs the range across a wide wall. Classical oil painting and oil painting work in impasto alpenglow and green aurora, while the watercolor wall art leaves the granite spare and quiet. Our wall art size guide covers how each of these reads at different sizes.
