Cabin Wall Art

What's in the collection

Cabins, lodges and lake houses are difficult rooms to hang art in. The walls are often wood rather than paint, the light is warm and directional rather than even and daylit, and ceilings run high with open gable above eye level. Everything gathered here is chosen for those conditions: colour that sits comfortably against stained timber instead of fighting it, tonal contrast strong enough not to disappear once the lamps are the only light, and compositions that still hold together when hung higher than usual. The same warm-light approach runs through our dining room wall art. A timber room also suits our western wall art.

One house style

Because a cabin wall is usually wood, matting and frame choice does more work than it would in a painted room. A dark frame reads as a deliberate edge against pine and keeps the print from floating. A natural wood frame disappears into the wall and lets the image carry. Canvas without glass avoids the reflections that overhead cabin fixtures create. Whatever the subject, the prints here share a restrained palette and clear shapes, so several together read as one considered wall. A lake house great room is closer to living room wall art in scale, several pieces together follow the gallery wall spacing, and the wall art size guide lists the dimensions.

Sizes, paper and framing

Every design is offered on archival matte paper and on matte canvas, either stretched on a wooden bar or set in a solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. Size options are listed on each product page, including A-series sizes for European frames where the format allows. Printed with pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
