Parc national de Mesa Verde

What's in the collection

Mesa Verde National Park sits in Colorado, and one subject runs through almost every print in the set: Cliff Palace, the stone dwelling sheltered beneath a curved sandstone alcove. The illustrations work the same elements each time, stacked masonry rooms and towers, the overhanging rock above them, and the warm sandstone colour that turns gold when the light reaches in under the ledge. It sits in our wider US national parks wall art range, alongside the rest of our Colorado wall art.

Ways to hang one park

One alcove, drawn every way the series allows: a vintage WPA travel poster, a flat screen-print WPA panel, retro wall art, a mid-century vector, a retro poster, a horizontal panorama, a classical oil painting, an impasto oil, and a watercolour. Sandstone gold, shadow brown and pale sky run through the whole set, which is why a bold flat-colour version and a soft painted one sit well side by side. The flat poster cuts sit with our vintage WPA wall art, and the wall art size guide sets out how each size hangs.
