Italian Kitchen Wall Art

What's in the collection

Tomatoes carry the group: on the vine under a green pomodoro headline, scattered loose across cream, tumbling around the letters of the word itself. Pasta follows, a plate of spaghetti on a checked cloth in pink and in blue, a fork winding a nest of it, a pasta lover club opening hours notice. Then a pepperoni slice from New York, a layered tiramisu under a fork, olives on a cocktail stick, a wedge of cheese meeting the grater, and antipasti spreads drawn in loose colored line: olive oil jugs, figs, asparagus, artichokes, courgette flowers. Wine belongs with dinner and lives in the wine wall art prints.

One house style

The loud pieces set one Italian word across the whole sheet in fat green or red type and let the food sit inside the letters. The quiet pieces are single-line ink drawings on cream, closer to a sketchbook than a poster. Both share the same warm off-white ground and a palette pulled from the flag, so a shouting pomodoro print and a whispered antipasti drawing still read as one family. It is a straightforward source of kitchen wall art, and it sits inside the wider food and drink wall art range alongside coffee wall art.

Sizes, paper and framing

Every design is offered on archival matte paper in nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4-A1 for European frames, and on matte canvas either stretched on a wooden bar or set in a solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. Printed with pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.

Questions about Italian kitchen wall art

What subjects appear in Italian kitchen wall art?

Tomatoes, pasta, pizza, olives, tiramisu, cheese and antipasti spreads, plus Italian phrases such as buon appetito and dolce far niente.

Is Italian kitchen wall art the same as travel prints of Italy?

No. These are food and kitchen subjects, not places. Prints of Italian cities and coastline sit in the travel side of the shop instead.

Where does Italian kitchen wall art hang best?

Above a dining table or a sideboard, where people sit long enough to read the lettering. Kitchens and pasta corners work equally well.

How do I build a set of Italian kitchen wall art?

Pair one loud typographic print with two quiet line drawings. Three in a row above a sideboard is the easiest arrangement.

What size Italian kitchen wall art works above a dining table?

A larger portrait size holds the wall above a table without crowding it. The wall art size guide shows each size hung above real furniture.

Can Italian kitchen wall art hang in a restaurant?

Yes. The bold typographic prints read from across a room, and canvas suits a commercial wall.

Is Italian kitchen wall art available on canvas?

Yes, on matte canvas as well as archival matte paper, stretched or in a solid wood floating frame.

Does Italian kitchen wall art suit a modern kitchen?

The flat color and clean type sit well against plain cabinets. In a more traditional kitchen the line-drawn pieces are the safer choice.
