This Worcester, Massachusetts watercolor print shows Worcester City Hall and its clock tower above the Worcester Common Oval skating rink in midwinter. It is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of the Common, not an exact view.
About the artwork
Snow is bare white paper with cool blue-violet shading, and the granite tower is a pale gray glaze. Fine brown ink outlines the crenellated top, clock face, arched windows, bare branches, lampposts and skaters. Looking across Worcester Common from its southern edge, the square clock tower of City Hall rises in the middle ground on the left, and the granite Bigelow Monument obelisk and the Soldiers' Monument stand on the right. Main Street's brick and stone blocks sit behind, and the oval rink edged by an iron fence fills the foreground. The left edge and bottom break into red and blue blooms with drips and splatter. "WORCESTER" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Skaters on the oval. A crowd of skaters circles the rink, with children in red coats beside adults.
- Crenellated clock tower. City Hall's tower ends in a crenellated top above a clock face.
- Snowy winter tones. White snow, granite gray and icy blue are warmed by brick red and bright hats.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.

Styling it at home
The cool whites and grays suit a modern living room, an entryway or an office, and look especially good through the winter months. It is a cheerful holiday gift for a Worcester native or a family that has skated on the Common.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Worcester, Massachusetts? No. It is an artistic interpretation of the Common in winter, with the buildings painted loosely.
What text is printed on it? Only the name "WORCESTER," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.

Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
