Tanah Lot wall art from the rocks at low tide, the temple sitting on its dark outcrop while a wave breaks white across the whole width of the frame and runs back over the volcanic shelf.
About the artwork
A two-colour piece: turquoise sea and sky against charcoal basalt, with white foam doing all the work in between. The surf is drawn as flat interlocking shapes rather than soft spray, which gives the water an almost cut-paper quality. The temple's tiered meru roofs and a wind-bent tree crown the rock on the left, and the sky is left almost empty apart from a low bank of cloud on the horizon.
Why you'll love it
- Bold flat shapes in the surf — this is the most graphic seascape in the series.
- A cool turquoise and charcoal palette that stays crisp against white walls.
- The temple is small in frame, so the piece works as a coastal print as well as a landmark one.
- Made in the same style as the rest of the Asia collection for easy pairing.
Where it works at home
Turquoise and charcoal are easy in a bathroom, a coastal-leaning bedroom or a hallway with pale walls. The high-contrast surf means it still reads clearly in a dim corridor where softer prints go muddy. Hang it with the Ubud terrace print for a Bali pair, or with the Halong Bay print for a water-themed set of two.
Sizes and materials
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Thirteen sizes are available, from 8 x 12 inches up to a 30 x 40 inch statement piece, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. Every piece is made to order.
Shipping and care
Each piece is printed and finished after the order is placed, then shipped in protective packaging — paper prints rolled in a rigid tube, canvas and framed canvas boxed with corner guards. Keep the artwork out of direct sunlight and wipe framed canvas with a dry, soft cloth. Paper prints are best handled by the edges until they are framed.
Questions
Which material should I choose? Paper is the most affordable option and lets you pick your own frame. Matte canvas adds depth and needs no glass. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang and is the usual choice for a feature wall.
Will the colours match what I see on screen? Printing is colour-managed, so the artwork stays very close to the preview. Paper reads slightly softer than canvas, which holds a touch more contrast.
Can you walk out to the temple? The rock is reachable on foot at low tide, which is the moment the artwork shows — the shelf exposed and the surf running back off it.
