A Shanghai travel poster looking north along the Bund, where stone waterfront buildings curve away on the left and a wide paved promenade runs beside the Huangpu River. Across the water the Pudong skyline rises in pale glass, the Oriental Pearl Tower and its stacked spheres standing clear against the sky.
About the artwork
A high, tilted view in flat vector planes, with fine line work for windows and railings. On the left, early twentieth-century stone facades in grey and cream carry a green dome, a clock spire and red awnings, all in shadow. The promenade below is a pale sheet of paving marked by lamp posts and figures. The river is a broad band of warm ochre streaked with current lines and barges. Beyond it the towers stack in mint, grey and white, the Pearl Tower's spheres on tripod legs beside a tapering glass tower. Captioned SHANGHAI above CHINA in white capitals.
Why you'll love it
- Two Shanghais in one picture: the old stone waterfront and the towers across the river.
- Cool greys against a warm ochre river suit a modern room.
- Museum-grade paper or matte canvas; pigment inks keep the window detail sharp.
- A gift for anyone who has walked that promenade at dusk.
Where it works at home
The muted palette suits a home office, a study, or a living room with grey and steel already in it, and the tower's strong vertical helps it hold a narrow wall.
Sizes and materials
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Thirteen sizes are available, from 8 x 12 inches up to a 30 x 40 inch statement piece, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. Every piece is made to order.
Shipping and care
Each piece is printed and finished after the order is placed, then shipped in protective packaging — paper prints rolled in a rigid tube, canvas and framed canvas boxed with corner guards. Keep the artwork out of direct sunlight and wipe framed canvas with a dry, soft cloth. Paper prints are best handled by the edges until they are framed.
Questions
Which material should I choose? Paper is the most affordable option and lets you pick your own frame. Matte canvas adds depth and needs no glass. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang and is the usual choice for a feature wall.
Will the colours match what I see on screen? Printing is colour-managed, so the artwork stays very close to the preview. Paper reads slightly softer than canvas, which holds a touch more contrast.
Which part of Shanghai does the artwork show? It is the view from the Bund, the historic riverside stretch on the west bank of the Huangpu, looking across to the Pudong financial district. The buildings on the left are the old stone waterfront; the tall structure with stacked spheres on the far bank is the Oriental Pearl Tower.
