This River Street Savannah watercolor print shows the old brick cotton warehouses of River Street in Savannah, seen from out on the Savannah River. It is a watercolor-style interpretation of the riverfront, not a faithful map of it.
About the artwork
Thin brown ink picks out iron balconies, arched doorways and bridge cables, and layered blue-grey washes form the river with red brick reflections. The warehouses run diagonally along the right side, with the gold dome of Savannah City Hall rising above the rooftops. To the left, the white Talmadge Bridge spans the river, and a large container ship passes with a tugboat beside it. A moss-hung oak branch drapes across the foreground above the wide water. Green trees and warm haze suggest late summer, and long drips fall from the lower left corner. "SAVANNAH" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Gold dome landmark. The gilded dome of City Hall glows above the red brick warehouses.
- Paddlewheel at the dock. A red-and-white paddlewheel riverboat, gulls and red umbrellas add life along the waterfront.
- Brick and river tones. Brick red and brown sit against olive blue-grey water, with touches of gold and moss grey.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
The warm brick tones pair well with leather, rust and olive accents in a den, dining room or entryway. It suits a Savannah native living far from home, or anyone who spent a warm evening on the riverfront. Pair it with our Savannah watercolor print for a two-piece set.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of River Street Savannah? No. It is an artistic interpretation of River Street, and a few details, like the oak branch in front and the ships, are added or arranged for the composition.
What text is printed on it? Only the city name, "SAVANNAH," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
