A Regina travel poster across Wascana Lake: still water filling the bottom half, a tree-lined park path curving along the near shore, and the domed Legislative Building standing centre on the far bank with the low city skyline spread out behind it.
About the artwork
Mostly sky, and that is the point. The upper half is a single deep prairie blue with one bank of white cumulus low on the left, and the horizon line runs dead flat all the way across. Below it the legislature is drawn small and precise in pale stone with its green-grey dome and columned portico, flanked by a thin strip of trees and a run of plain low buildings. The near shore comes in from the left as a green bank with a pale path traced along it, and the lake is a flat mid-blue flecked with tiny highlights. Title in white capitals, REGINA above CANADA. Portrait, 2:3.
Why you'll love it
- Prairie sky, properly given room. Half the print is air, which is exactly how the place feels.
- A calm centre. One building, one dome, one reflection line — nothing fights for attention.
- Blue on blue. Sky and lake in two related tones make it one of the easiest prints here to live with.
- Wascana in summer. The park locals walk every evening, drawn on the sort of afternoon people remember.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4-A1 for European frames.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang.
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
A large field of flat blue behaves like a colour block, so this print settles a busy room rather than adding to it. White and pale grey walls suit it; warm beige dulls the blue. Thin black or white frames both work. It is a natural bedroom print, and it hangs particularly well above a low horizontal piece of furniture where the flat horizon can line up.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? Above a console or desk, 12" x 18" or 16" x 24". Above a sofa, bed or mantel, go 24" x 36" or larger so the print holds the wall.
Does it come framed? Paper and matte canvas ship unframed and fit standard frames. The framed canvas option arrives in a solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
What is the domed building? The Saskatchewan Legislative Building, seen across Wascana Lake in the park at the centre of Regina.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
