About the artwork

Illustrative and unusually dense — closer to the Quebec prints than to the flat vector city posters. Individual moorings, masts, hulls and dock fingers are drawn one by one across the lower half, and the buildings behind carry their own window rows and roof detail. The palette is warm sandstone and terracotta against a soft mid-blue harbour, with verdigris green on the dome and the Empress turrets tying the two sides together.
