This Pine Creek Gorge watercolor print shows the deep forested canyon winding south from the Leonard Harrison State Park overlook, with Pine Creek a silver-blue ribbon below. It is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of the gorge in autumn, not an exact view.
About the artwork
Dense dabs of red, orange and yellow cover both canyon walls, and fine ink traces the stone overlook wall, rock ledges and the old rail line. The creek is a clear silver-blue wash. The palette is maple red, oak orange and gold with dark pine green, plus the silver-blue creek and blue-violet hills as accents. The gorge winds through the center, layered rock ledges and the rail trail run along the right, and the west rim at Colton Point faces the viewer, with Allegheny Plateau ridges behind. The stone overlook wall and a red maple fill the foreground at peak autumn. "PINE CREEK GORGE" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Binoculars at the wall. A visitor with binoculars stands among a small group at the stone wall.
- Rail trail cyclist. A tiny cyclist rides the trail along the creek far below.
- Blazing maple. A bright red maple frames the bottom of the scene.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.

- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
The fall reds and golds warm up a living room, a dining room or an office with dark wood. It is a great gift for a leaf peeper, a rail-trail cyclist or anyone who has camped near the gorge.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Pine Creek Gorge? No. It is a watercolor-style interpretation of Pine Creek Gorge in autumn, with the canyon simplified rather than shown exactly.
What text is printed on it? Only the name "PINE CREEK GORGE," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
