This Mount Baker watercolor print shows the glaciated volcano with its white snowfields and blue-shadowed crevasses, looking west from Artist Point. It is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of the Washington peak, not an exact view.
About the artwork
The snow is left as white paper with blue-violet shadow, and fine ink lines draw the rock ribs, glacier cracks and pointed firs. Mount Baker fills the upper center. Dark, flat-topped Table Mountain sits in the middle ground with two small alpine lakes among the trees, and North Cascades peaks line the background. A rocky trail through pink heather and leftover snow forms the foreground. The left and bottom edges melt into pink and green washes with long drips, and snow patches mark late summer. "MOUNT BAKER" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Glacier blues. Cool blue shadows in the snow and crevasses give the mountain depth.
- Pink heather trail. Mountain heather and snow patches line the path in the foreground.
- Marmot and tripod. A marmot sits on a boulder near a photographer with a tripod and two hikers.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Snow white, glacier blue and evergreen suit a bedroom, a ski cabin or an office with cool tones. Give it to a skier or a hiker who drove the Mount Baker Highway to the end of the road.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Mount Baker? No. It is an artistic, stylized watercolor interpretation of Mount Baker from Artist Point, and some details of the summit are simplified.
What text is printed on it? Only the name "MOUNT BAKER," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.
Paper weight, inks, frame details and care are all in our Material Guide.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
