A Lions Gate Bridge poster seen from high in Stanley Park, looking down over the treetops: the green suspension span crossing First Narrows, its towers standing clear of the water, and the shadow of the whole structure laid out across the dark blue channel below.
About the artwork
Half of this print is forest. The bottom two thirds are drawn as a mass of conifers in overlapping silhouettes, with sunlit deciduous crowns picked out in acid yellow-green between them, and the eye climbs over that canopy to reach the bridge. The span itself is a clean, spare structure in oxidised green with fine cable lines, set against a channel of deep navy that carries its shadow as a hard diagonal. Behind it the North Shore rises in flat blue-grey. The palette runs cold — forest green, navy, slate — with the yellow foliage as its only warmth. Title in white capitals, VANCOUVER above CANADA. Portrait, 2:3.
Why you'll love it
- The Prospect Point view. The bridge seen from above through the park rather than from the causeway.
- A bridge shadow as composition. The dark diagonal on the water is what makes the print feel three-dimensional.
- Forest depth. Layered conifer silhouettes give it real distance, so it does not flatten out at a small size.
- Green on green. Sits beautifully in rooms with plants, and in cabins and offices where a city print would feel wrong.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4-A1 for European frames.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang.
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Dark and green, so it needs light around it: white, bone or pale sage walls, and a room with some daylight. Natural oak frames lift it; black frames make it read heavier still. It is the best print in the Canada set for a study or a den with dark wood, and it pairs naturally with the Vancouver harbour print, since the same mountains sit behind both.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? Above a console or desk, 12" x 18" or 16" x 24". Above a sofa, bed or mantel, go 24" x 36" or larger so the print holds the wall.
Does it come framed? Paper and matte canvas ship unframed and fit standard frames. The framed canvas option arrives in a solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
Where is the view from? High in Stanley Park on the Vancouver side, looking north over the forest to the Lions Gate Bridge across First Narrows.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
