This Julian, California watercolor print shows Main Street's row of 19th-century false-front wooden storefronts, a red-brick drugstore and a white two-storey hotel with a balcony. It is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of the mountain town, not an exact view.
About the artwork
White wooden facades are left as paper, fine brown-grey ink traces the balconies, awnings and a horse-drawn carriage, and the autumn trees are built from transparent gold and orange layers. Weathered wood browns, oak gold, autumn orange and hotel white set the palette, with apple red as the accent. The view looks down the street from a rise at one end, with the hotel on the right and the small white town hall and its bell tower at the far left. A wooden boardwalk with crates of red apples, a hitching rail and flower barrels fills the foreground, and oak- and pine-covered hills of the Cuyamaca Mountains close the early-autumn view. Red-orange and yellow drips trail off the lower left, and flecks of color dot the border. "JULIAN" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Apple harvest crates. Wooden crates of red apples and a fruit-laden tree set the harvest mood.
- Horse-drawn carriage. A carriage rolls down Main Street past a vintage red pickup.
- Flag-hung balconies. Hanging flower baskets and American flags dress the old porches.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.

Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
