A Horseshoe Falls poster taken from the Canadian rim, close enough that the brink runs right across the top of the frame: the green lip of the falls curving away, a wall of white water dropping into the gorge, and the whole basin below churning turquoise.
About the artwork
The most physical print in the Canada set. Where the city posters use flat shapes, this one is built almost entirely from directional strokes — the falling sheet is drawn as vertical combing, the plunge pool as heavy curling foam, and the current above the brink as long horizontal ribbons. The palette is narrow and cold: glacier turquoise, spray white, and a single warm note in the brown-grey rock ledge that anchors the right edge of the frame. A column of mist rises behind the falls on the right, and a thin band of wooded far bank closes the top. Title in white capitals across the sky, HORSESHOE FALLS above CANADA. Portrait, 2:3.
Why you'll love it
- The Canadian side, not the postcard aerial. Drawn from the rail on the rim, where the falls fill your whole field of view.
- Movement you can see. Every part of the water is stroked in its own direction, so the print reads as motion rather than as a blue block.
- Turquoise that cools a warm room. One of the few prints here that works against terracotta, brick and warm oak.
- Honeymoon and anniversary ground. Niagara is where a lot of people got engaged; this is the view from that afternoon.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4-A1 for European frames.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang.
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Water prints belong where there is already water or stone: bathrooms, a hallway with tile, a kitchen with a pale splashback. On a white or bone wall the turquoise carries a long way; on sage it goes quiet and tonal. Because the foam detail is fine, this is one to size up — at 24" x 36" the curling strokes in the plunge pool separate properly, and at 12" x 18" they merge.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? Above a console or desk, 12" x 18" or 16" x 24". Above a sofa, bed or mantel, go 24" x 36" or larger so the print holds the wall.
Does it come framed? Paper and matte canvas ship unframed and fit standard frames. The framed canvas option arrives in a solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
Which side of the falls is this? The Canadian side, looking along the curve of the Horseshoe from the Ontario rim, with the rock ledge of the gorge on the right.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.

- Reads slightly softer than canvas.

Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
