This Half Moon Bay, California watercolor print shows Pillar Point Harbor filled with white fishing boats and sailboats behind a long grey rock breakwater. It is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of the coast, not an exact view.
About the artwork
The harbor and ocean carry transparent blue washes, the white boats are left as paper with fine brown-grey ink lines, and the pumpkins are loose orange washes edged in ink. Ocean blue, pumpkin orange, dry-grass gold and coastal cypress green form the palette, with white boats and the radar dome as bright notes. The view looks south-west from the hills above El Granada, with the curving harbor in the middle ground and the green bluff of Pillar Point and its white radar dome at the tip. A sandy crescent of Half Moon Bay and low coastal bluffs lie in the distance, while a hillside of orange pumpkins, golden grass and a wooden fence fills the mid-October foreground. Orange drips run down from the lower left, and splashes of color edge the paper. "HALF MOON BAY" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Pumpkin season scene. Big orange pumpkins and a green tractor pulling a trailer set the October mood.
- Working harbor. Fishing boats head out past the breakwater as sailboats cross the bay.
- Radar dome landmark. The white dome on Pillar Point gives the coastline a clear focal point.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.

Styling it at home
Blues with warm orange and gold suit a fall-ready entryway, a family room or a farmhouse-style kitchen. Give it to someone who visits the pumpkin patches every October, a sailor, or a friend who just moved to the coast.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Half Moon Bay, California? No. It is an artistic interpretation of Pillar Point Harbor and the Half Moon Bay coast, and parts of the shoreline are gently rearranged to fit everything into one composition.
What text is printed on it? Only the name "HALF MOON BAY," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.
