This Frankenmuth watercolor print shows the Bavarian Inn glockenspiel tower and Alpine-style storefronts along a snowy Main Street. It is a watercolor-style interpretation of the town, not an exact view.
About the artwork
Fine ink lines trace the half-timbering and the bells and small figures in the tower's loggia. Snow is left as white paper on roofs, branches and railings with pale blue shadows, and the wet street reflects gray-blue. The white, dark-timbered tower with its steep roof stands in the upper right, seen looking along Main Street toward the Bavarian Inn. The large half-timbered inn with painted murals fills the middle, Alpine-style storefronts line the right, and a snowy sidewalk with garland-wrapped lamp posts runs through the lower left. A church spire and bare trees stand behind, red and blue-gray drips run down the left edge, and the light snow sets the scene in early winter. "FRANKENMUTH" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Horse-drawn carriage. A carriage carries passengers along the snowy street while families in mittens stroll by.
- Holiday garlands. Pine garlands with red bows wrap the lamp posts in the foreground.
- Tower figurines. Small carved figures and bells sit in the glockenspiel loggia.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Snow white, pale blue and holiday red work well in an entryway, a dining room or a cozy living room, especially through the winter months. It is a festive gift for a family that visits Frankenmuth every Christmas season or for anyone who grew up in Michigan.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Frankenmuth? No. It is an artistic interpretation of Main Street, and the land behind the town is drawn with gentle hills rather than flat valley farmland.
What text is printed on it? Only the name "FRANKENMUTH," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
