A Saskatoon travel poster looking upstream: three bridges stacked one behind the other across the South Saskatchewan, the green-roofed hotel standing on the far bank at the right, riverbank parkland with paths and turning trees along the near side, and flat prairie closing the horizon.
About the artwork
Repetition is the whole idea. The nearest bridge is drawn in full — stone piers, arched steel spans, a lit deck — and each bridge behind it is smaller and paler, so the river reads as receding distance rather than as a flat band. The water between them is a bright mid-blue combed with current lines. Along the left bank the park is built from rounded tree crowns in green and gold with pale gravel paths threading between them, and the hotel on the right is picked out in cream stone with a steep verdigris roof. Title in white capitals, SASKATOON above CANADA. Portrait, 2:3.
Why you'll love it
- The city of bridges, shown as one. Three crossings in a single view is the fastest way to name this place.
- Autumn creeping in. Gold among the green in the riverbank trees gives the print a season rather than a generic summer.
- Depth without haze. The receding spans do the work, so the colours stay clean all the way to the horizon.
- Meewasin walkers. Anyone who runs or cycles the riverbank trail knows this exact sightline.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4-A1 for European frames.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang.
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
The gold in the trees means this print warms up a room rather than cooling it, so it works on cream, oatmeal and soft clay. Natural oak frames pick up the autumn tones; black frames sharpen the bridge structure. It hangs well in a hallway where the receding spans have room to read, and pairs neatly with the other prairie prints in the set.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? Above a console or desk, 12" x 18" or 16" x 24". Above a sofa, bed or mantel, go 24" x 36" or larger so the print holds the wall.
Does it come framed? Paper and matte canvas ship unframed and fit standard frames. The framed canvas option arrives in a solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
What river is this? The South Saskatchewan River as it runs through Saskatoon, with several of the city's bridges lined up and the historic hotel on the east bank.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
