A Vancouver travel poster looking across Coal Harbour on a bright, still morning: the white sail roofs of Canada Place caught mid-flight, green glass towers stacked behind them, and the snow-topped North Shore mountains closing the whole thing in.
About the artwork
Flat vector illustration with a fine grain worked over the sky and the mountain flanks, so the print carries a slight letterpress texture rather than reading as pure digital colour. Everything is tuned to one turquoise: the harbour water, the glass curtain walls, even the shadowed forest on the mountains, with cream reserved for the sails, the snow and the two boats. The stepped wooden jetties in the lower left corner and the rocks beside them give the composition its foreground. A motor yacht and a sailboat sit on the water at right. Title in wide-tracked white capitals across the peaks, VANCOUVER above CANADA. Portrait, 2:3.
Why you'll love it
- Mountains and city in one look. The thing that makes Vancouver itself — glass towers with alpine snow directly behind them.
- Canada Place, drawn properly. The five sails are the landmark most Vancouver prints leave out or flatten; here they are the brightest thing on the page.
- A turquoise that behaves. Strong enough to carry a wall, cool enough to sit beside white, oak and linen without shouting.
- For west coast people. Cruise passengers, Seawall walkers, anyone who has waited for a float plane on that water.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4-A1 for European frames.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang.
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Turquoise and cream is an easy pairing, which is why this one is the most forgiving print in the set: it works on white, sand, sage and even the olive wall in the photographs above. Light oak frames echo the jetties; black frames make the sails pop harder. It is a natural pair with any other coastal or mountain print in the series, since the palette is held so tightly to a single blue-green.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? Above a console or desk, 12" x 18" or 16" x 24". Above a sofa, bed or mantel, go 24" x 36" or larger so the print holds the wall.
Does it come framed? Paper and matte canvas ship unframed and fit standard frames. The framed canvas option arrives in a solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
What are the white shapes in the middle? The five fabric sails on the roof of Canada Place, the cruise terminal and convention centre on the downtown waterfront. Behind them are the North Shore mountains above the harbour.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.

Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
