This Tallinn watercolor print shows the tall green spire of St. Olaf's Church rising over the red tiled roofs of Tallinn Old Town, with the Baltic Sea beyond. It is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of Tallinn, not an exact view of the city.
About the artwork
Brown ink traces the rows of roof tiles, layered under red-orange washes, while the copper spire blooms in several shades of green. The Baltic Sea is a thin blue band near the horizon. Brick red and terracotta lead the palette, with leafy green, sea blue and a verdigris accent on the spire. St. Olaf's stands left of center, round city wall towers with red conical caps dot the right side and the old town roofs tumble down in the foreground toward a harbor with a ferry. The Kohtuotsa viewing platform with its railing and lamp sits at the left, and pink-blue drips mark both lower corners of the late summer scene on a white border. "TALLINN" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Rooftop lookout view. Visitors lean on the railing of the Kohtuotsa viewing platform above the old town.
- Sea of red roofs. Ink-lined terracotta tiles fill much of the print with warm color.
- Ferry leaving port. A large white ferry heads out across the Baltic while gulls circle overhead.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
The terracotta and green tones warm up a dining room, a hallway or a living room with rust or olive accents. It is a fitting gift for someone who explored Tallinn on a Baltic cruise or has Estonian heritage.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Tallinn? No. It is an artistic interpretation of Tallinn. The rooftops, towers and harbor are arranged to fit one watercolor composition.
What text is printed on it? Only the city name, "TALLINN," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
