A Taipei travel poster looking across the whole basin from a wooded ridge. The tiered green tower stands dead centre, its stacked sections climbing well clear of everything around it, while the city spreads out below in warm terracotta and cream. Cloud-topped mountains close the far side and palm fronds crowd the bottom corners.
About the artwork
Flat vector planes are stacked into depth, with the foreground foliage drawn in sharp detail and each range behind it flattening into softer green. The colour split is the point: cool jade for the tower and the jungle, warm brick and clay for the low buildings filling the middle of the frame. Look into the bottom right and there is a road with traffic and a small red-roofed building at the tree line. The sky is pale teal with heaped cloud, and the type reads TAIPEI above TAIWAN.
Why you'll love it
- Warm and cool tones in equal measure, so it works over both timber and painted furniture.
- Fine art paper, matte canvas or framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Thirteen sizes, up to a 30 x 40 inch statement piece.
- Made to order with pigment inks rated to resist fading.
Where it works at home
The terracotta rooftops give this an unusual warmth for a city print, which suits a dining room or kitchen wall where there is already wood and brass in play. Above a desk it gives a long view to look into between tasks. The centred, symmetrical composition also behaves in a pair or a three-across row.
Sizes and materials
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Thirteen sizes are available, from 8 x 12 inches up to a 30 x 40 inch statement piece, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. Every piece is made to order.
Shipping and care
Each piece is printed and finished after the order is placed, then shipped in protective packaging — paper prints rolled in a rigid tube, canvas and framed canvas boxed with corner guards. Keep the artwork out of direct sunlight and wipe framed canvas with a dry, soft cloth. Paper prints are best handled by the edges until they are framed.
Questions
Which material should I choose? Paper is the most affordable option and lets you pick your own frame. Matte canvas adds depth and needs no glass. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang and is the usual choice for a feature wall.
Will the colours match what I see on screen? Printing is colour-managed, so the artwork stays very close to the preview. Paper reads slightly softer than canvas, which holds a touch more contrast.
Which tower is in the middle of the print? That is Taipei 101, drawn as the stack of flared green sections that makes it recognisable from anywhere in the city. Everything around it is rendered as generic low-rise blocks rather than named buildings, which keeps the tower reading as the single focal point at any print size.
