This Surfers Paradise Gold Coast poster takes the long view down the beach, with line after line of turquoise surf rolling onto a wide strip of golden sand. A dense wall of glass and pale concrete towers stands right at the dune line and tapers away into the haze, until the coast narrows to a thin bright thread on the horizon.
About the artwork
A flat vector travel-poster illustration drawn in crisp banded shapes, with the foam of each breaking wave built from stacked ribbons of cream and white rather than soft gradients. The palette is tightly held: a mid-blue sky, teal and aquamarine water, warm ochre and butter-yellow sand, and towers rendered in pale sandstone, cream and reflective steel-blue. The high vantage point pushes the shoreline into a long diagonal that runs from the lower left corner to the vanishing point. Across the sky the poster prints GOLD COAST in wide white capitals with AUSTRALIA spaced smaller beneath. A thin white margin surrounds the image. Portrait, 2:3.
Why you'll love it
- Distance you can feel. The coastline runs all the way to the horizon, which makes even a small print open up a wall.
- Surf drawn line by line. Each wave is built from separate ribbons of foam, so the water rewards a close look.
- Warm sand against cool water. Ochre and aquamarine sit side by side and keep the print from reading cold.
- City and coast in one image. The tower strip gives it an urban edge that most beach prints do not have.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4–A1 for European frames.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang.
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
The ochre sand in this print picks up beautifully against a warm white, buttermilk or pale sand wall, and it is one of the few coastal designs that also holds its own on a deep navy feature wall. Pale oak and ash frames sit closest to the sand tones; a white frame keeps the whole thing airy. It works in a sunlit bedroom, a bathroom or a beach-house hallway, and it pairs with linen, rattan and brushed brass hardware.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? The receding coastline reads best with some room, so 18" x 24" and up is the sweet spot. Above a bed or sofa, choose 24" x 36" or 30" x 40".
Does it come framed? Paper prints arrive rolled and unframed. Canvas can be ordered stretched, or as a framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
Can you make out the individual buildings? The towers are stylised rather than architecturally exact, but the tallest ones are clearly separated and the shape of the beachfront strip is recognisable at 18" x 24" and above.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.

- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
