This Sydney Harbour Bridge watercolor print shows the steel arch bridge across Sydney Harbour, seen from the lawns at Kirribilli with the Sydney Opera House to the left. It is a bright watercolor-style interpretation of the harbor, not an exact view.
About the artwork
The steel arch is drawn with a grid of dark gray ink over a gray-blue wash, and the Opera House is left as white paper with pale blue shadows. The harbor is built up in layers of blue with white ripples, and the jacaranda flowers are dabbed in violet. The bridge with its stone pylons fills the right half of the middle ground, the white sail-shaped Sydney Opera House sits on the left, and the city towers and Sydney Tower rise behind. A sandstone seawall, a small ferry wharf and violet jacaranda trees fill the right foreground. It is late spring, with violet and blue drips at both lower corners. "SYDNEY" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Jacaranda violet. Violet jacaranda blooms add an unusual, very Sydney color to the harbor scene.
- Tiny bridge climbers. A line of tiny climbers walks over the top of the arch beneath the Australian flag.
- Ferries and sailboats. Green-and-cream ferries and white sailboats cross the blue water.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Harbor blue, violet and sandstone suit a coastal living room, a bedroom or an office with white and navy. It is a thoughtful gift for an Australian living abroad or a friend who just moved to Sydney. Pair it with our Sydney watercolor print for a two-piece set.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Sydney Harbour Bridge? No. It is an artistic interpretation of Sydney Harbour, painted in a loose watercolor-style with simplified details.
What text is printed on it? Only the city name, "SYDNEY," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
