This St. Petersburg, Florida watercolor print shows the yellow cables of the Sunshine Skyway Bridge across Tampa Bay, seen from the shore at Fort De Soto Park. It is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of St. Petersburg, Florida, not an exact view of the city.
About the artwork
Fine ink lines trace the bridge pylons, the fan of yellow cables and the stone walls of the fort. The bay fades from turquoise to pale blue in the distance, with white waves left as bare paper, and the left edge breaks into moss, yellow and orange drips. Turquoise and sky blue lead the palette, with palm and sea-oat greens, golden cables and red and yellow kayaks. The two-pylon bridge spans the top of the scene with its tall tower right of center, the fort wall with cannons sits among palms on the left, and a wooden fishing pier reaches into the water. Sand, sea oats and sea grape leaves fill the foreground in early summer. "ST. PETERSBURG" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Diving pelican. A pelican plunges toward the water near the shore.
- Kayaks and anglers. Two kayaks paddle the bay while people fish from the pier.
- Golden cable fan. The bright yellow cables stand out against the soft blue sky.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.

Styling it at home
Turquoise and gold suit a coastal living room, a kids' room or a home office with white walls and light oak. It is a cheerful gift for a Tampa Bay local or a winter visitor who loves the bridge.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of St. Petersburg, Florida? No. It is an artistic interpretation, painted in a loose watercolor style, and the shoreline is arranged for the composition.
What text is printed on it? Only the city name, "ST. PETERSBURG," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.
