This Saratoga Springs watercolor print shows racehorses rounding the dirt track in front of the Saratoga Race Course grandstand, with the clubhouse among the trees and spectators lined up at the rail. It is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of Saratoga Springs, not an exact view of the city.
About the artwork
Fine ink outlines the slate roofs, pointed spires and grandstand railings, and the red-and-white striped awnings are crisp and clear. Grass and tree greens lead the palette with slate gray and track brown, plus red stripes, colorful racing silks and red roses. The long wooden grandstand fills the middle ground on the right, and a white mansard-roofed clubhouse sits on the left among trees. An infield lake with a fountain sits behind the track, and the foreground shows horses on the dirt and fans behind a white rail. It is high summer racing season, and the bottom edge dissolves into pink, white and moss green with many drips. "SARATOGA SPRINGS" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Horses in full stride. Five racehorses and jockeys in bright silks race across the ochre track.
- Hats at the rail. Fans in straw hats and red caps lean on the white rail in the foreground.
- Striped awnings. Red-and-white awnings and white tents add a summer racing mood.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".

- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Fresh greens and red stripes suit a den, a bar area or a home office with leather and dark wood. It makes a great gift for a racing fan or for friends who make the August trip upstate every year.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Saratoga Springs? No. It is an artistic interpretation of Saratoga Springs, and the viewpoint and the infield lake are rearranged a little to fit the composition.
What text is printed on it? Only the city name, "SARATOGA SPRINGS," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.

Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.

- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
