This Reine, Norway watercolor print shows the pyramid-shaped peak of Olstinden rising over the still water of Reinefjord, with red rorbu cabins on stilts along the shore. It is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of Reine, Norway, not an exact view of the village.
About the artwork
Fine ink lines trace the rock faces, the cabins on stilts and the wooden fish-drying racks, and the late winter snow on the peaks and shoreline is left as white paper. Clear turquoise water, snow white and mountain gray form the palette, with Falu red cabins and boats as the main accent. Olstinden stands left of center, the cabins sit on the right of the middle ground, a snowy rocky shore with drying racks fills the lower right, and the calm fjord takes up the left half with mirror-like reflections. Jagged snowy Lofoten peaks rise behind under a pale sky. Turquoise drips run down the left edge, with red and pink splatter on the right. "REINE" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Drying cod racks. A-frame wooden racks hang with cod drying in the cold air.
- Mirror-still fjord. The calm water reflects the mountains in soft turquoise.
- Little red boat. A small red and white fishing boat sits on the bay.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".

Styling it at home
Turquoise, white and Falu red bring a clean, Nordic feel to a bathroom, a bedroom or a minimalist living room. It is a memorable gift for a photographer, a hiker or anyone who has made the trip to the Lofoten Islands.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Reine, Norway? No. It is an artistic interpretation of Reine, Norway seen from the rocky shore, and some details of the village are simplified or left out.
What text is printed on it? Only the city name, "REINE," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.

- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.

- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
