This Prague watercolor print shows Charles Bridge crossing the Vltava toward Prague Castle and St. Vitus Cathedral under a light winter snow. It is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of Prague rather than an exact view of the city.
About the artwork
Fine ink lines draw the Gothic spires, the dark Baroque statues along the bridge and its stone arches. Snow is left as white paper on the red tile roofs and the bridge deck, and the river is laid in cool blue horizontal strokes with soft reflections. The palette is red roofs under snow, verdigris green domes and spires and gray-brown stone, with icy blue water and touches of vermilion at the edges. St. Vitus Cathedral and the castle sit left of center on the hill, with red roofs and the green dome of St. Nicholas Church below. Charles Bridge runs diagonally from the lower right toward the middle, the dark pointed roof of the Old Town Bridge Tower anchors the right foreground, and the left edge dissolves into bare branches and drips. "PRAGUE" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Swans on the Vltava. A small group of white swans floats on the cold blue river.
- Statues along the bridge. Dark Baroque statues line the bridge railing in a steady rhythm.
- Winter strollers. People in coats cross the snowy bridge while a tour boat passes below.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
The cool blues, snowy whites and brick reds look right in a cozy reading nook, a study or a living room with gray and rust accents. It is a thoughtful holiday gift for anyone who spent a winter in Prague.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Prague? No. It is an artistic interpretation of Prague, and the viewpoint is shifted slightly so the Old Town Bridge Tower and the castle fit in one frame.
What text is printed on it? Only the city name, "PRAGUE," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
