This Peggy's Cove watercolor print shows Peggy's Point Lighthouse, a white tower with a red lantern, standing on smooth gray granite above the Atlantic. It is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of the Nova Scotia fishing village, not an exact view.
About the artwork
The granite is layered in gray, beige and yellow lichen tones with fine ink outlining each boulder, and the lighthouse is left almost white with blue-gray shadows. White surf is bare paper, and a tide pool reflects the red lantern. From the granite slabs west of the lighthouse, the tower stands on the right while the village fills the left with fish shacks on stilts, white and red houses and a wharf. A lobster boat heads out across the cove, gulls circle the light and the low shrubs on the rocks turn red-orange in clear late summer. Red-orange and blue splashes with a drip mark the lower left inside a white paper border. "PEGGY’S COVE" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Red lantern lighthouse. The white tower and red lantern make a crisp focal point against the granite and sky.
- Lantern in the tide pool. A small tide pool in the foreground mirrors the red lantern.
- Working fishing village. Fish shacks on stilts and a lobster boat bring the cove's daily life into view.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Granite gray, Atlantic blue and touches of red suit a nautical living room, a hallway or a bathroom with white shiplap. It is a warm gift for a Maritimer living away from home, or for someone who stood on those rocks on a Nova Scotia road trip.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Peggy's Cove? No. It is an artistic watercolor interpretation of Peggy's Cove. Some details of the village and harbor are simplified.
What text is printed on it? Only the name "PEGGY’S COVE," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
