This Oklahoma City watercolor print shows the domed Oklahoma State Capitol on Lincoln Boulevard, with the Capitol oil derrick in a flower bed, blooming redbud trees and the Devon Energy Center on the skyline. It is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of Oklahoma City, not an exact view of the city.
About the artwork
Fine ink outlines the Corinthian columns, the dome with a statue on top and the steel frame of the derrick. Grass green and pink-violet redbud blossoms lead the palette, with white limestone, a black derrick, flags and a blue glass tower. The domed Capitol sits left of the center and rises into the upper part, and the oil derrick stands in a flower bed on the right. The downtown skyline sits behind on the right, and the foreground is a boulevard running on a diagonal with cars and redbuds in bloom. It is early spring, with gray-violet road shadows, and the left edge dissolves into pink-violet and moss green with drips. "OKLAHOMA CITY" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Capitol oil derrick. A black steel derrick stands in a flower bed on the Capitol grounds.
- Redbud bloom. Pink-violet redbud trees line the boulevard in early spring.
- Two flags. The U.S. flag and the Oklahoma state flag fly near the Capitol.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Spring pinks, greens and limestone white fit a bright living room, an office or a hallway with light wood. Give it to an Oklahoman who moved away or to a new homeowner in OKC.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Oklahoma City? No. This is an artistic interpretation of Oklahoma City, and the skyline is placed behind the Capitol to fit the composition.
What text is printed on it? Only the city name, "OKLAHOMA CITY," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
