This New Braunfels watercolor print shows Gruene Hall and the tall Gruene water tower in the historic Gruene district, above the turquoise Guadalupe River. It is a watercolor-style interpretation of the place, not an exact view.
About the artwork
Fine ink lines trace the wooden siding of Gruene Hall, the steel frame of the water tower and the tin roofs. The river is laid in clear turquoise with ripples left as white paper, and the limestone banks are washed in beige-gray. The long white hall with open side windows sits left of center, the water tower rises in the middle, and a red-brick mercantile and wooden storefronts with deep porches line the right. The Guadalupe fills the lower half, winding between limestone bluffs and cypresses, with a big live oak framing the left side. Hill Country ridges fade to violet behind in this high-summer scene. "NEW BRAUNFELS" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Tubing on the Guadalupe. A group of tubers in hats floats down the river in the lower half.
- Blue pickup out front. A vintage blue pickup parked by Gruene Hall and a passerby in a cowboy hat add Texas character.
- Shade-tree greens. Live oak and cypress greens with river turquoise give the print a cool summer feel.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Greens, turquoise and weathered white suit a family room, a game room, a porch-style living room or a lake cabin. It makes a fun gift for a crew that tubes the Guadalupe each summer or for someone with fond memories of Gruene.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of New Braunfels? No. It is an artistic interpretation, and the river is brought closer and shown larger than it appears from the hall.
What text is printed on it? Only the name "NEW BRAUNFELS," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
