This Mumbai travel wall art looks down on the Gateway of India from above, its honey-coloured arch standing at the end of a curved seafront promenade. Crowds move along the walkway, ferries cut white lines across the deep blue sea, and a tall hotel block and older balconied buildings rise behind.
About the artwork
The scene is drawn in flat vector shapes, with finer detail on the arch and on the balconied facades at the left edge. Warm sandstone gold and cream on the buildings meet a wide field of blues, from navy through cobalt to steel, with white spray marking every wave crest. Hundreds of small figures give the promenade its bustle. The poster is printed with MUMBAI in white capitals and INDIA beneath.
Why you'll love it
- A real landmark and a seascape in one image, so it suits coastal and city schemes alike.
- Deep sea blues that hold up well in a room with cool light.
- Archival paper or gallery-wrapped canvas, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- A sweeping diagonal promenade that gives the composition movement.
Where it works at home
The sea blues make this an easy fit for rooms with navy, denim or grey textiles, and it holds a hallway wall where a seascape feels right. Above a desk the diagonal promenade leads the eye upward, and in a living room it sits well beside brass or warm wood.
Sizes and materials
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Thirteen sizes are available, from 8 x 12 inches up to a 30 x 40 inch statement piece, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. Every piece is made to order.
Shipping and care
Each piece is printed and finished after the order is placed, then shipped in protective packaging — paper prints rolled in a rigid tube, canvas and framed canvas boxed with corner guards. Keep the artwork out of direct sunlight and wipe framed canvas with a dry, soft cloth. Paper prints are best handled by the edges until they are framed.
Questions
Which material should I choose? Paper is the most affordable option and lets you pick your own frame. Matte canvas adds depth and needs no glass. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang and is the usual choice for a feature wall.
Will the colours match what I see on screen? Printing is colour-managed, so the artwork stays very close to the preview. Paper reads slightly softer than canvas, which holds a touch more contrast.
Which building is the arch in the artwork? It is the Gateway of India, the stone arch on the Mumbai waterfront, drawn from a raised angle with the promenade curving away from it and the sea filling the right half of the frame.
