This Mount Shasta watercolor print shows the snowy volcano and its side cone Shastina rising above Lake Siskiyou. It is a watercolor-style interpretation of this Northern California view, not an exact view.
About the artwork
The snowfields are left as white paper, shaded with cool blue-violet washes. The lake is built from layered horizontal blue strokes, and pines are dabbed in deep green and yellow, with drips at the lower left. Lake and sky blue lead the palette, with dark pine green, snow white and small red and yellow kayaks as accents. The mountain fills the background from center to right, the lake spreads across the middle, and a pebbly shore with a wooden dock sits at lower left. Deep summit snow sets the season in late spring. "MOUNT SHASTA" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Balanced lake view. Forested shores on both sides frame the mountain at the center of the scene.
- Bright kayak accents. Red and yellow kayaks add small pops of color to the blue water.
- Quiet shoreline moments. An angler by the dock and a rowboat with two people give it a peaceful feel.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Clear blues and pine greens suit a cabin-style living room, a bedroom or a home office. It is a nice gift for someone from Northern California or a friend who loves to paddle mountain lakes.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Mount Shasta? No. It is an artistic interpretation of Mount Shasta and Lake Siskiyou. Some details, like the reflections on the water, are simplified.
What text is printed on it? Only the name "MOUNT SHASTA," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
