This Marfa watercolor print shows the pink Presidio County Courthouse with Lady Justice on its dome, seen down the wide, quiet length of Highland Avenue. It is a watercolor-style interpretation of the West Texas town, not an exact view.
About the artwork
Fine ink lines outline the mansard roofs, arched windows and iron cresting, and the street is washed in gray-blue with cracks and tree shadows. Yellow-brown and pink drips run down the left edge into a pink, blue and beige wash with splatter at the bottom. The Second Empire courthouse stands centered at the end of the avenue, which runs straight up from the foreground. Flat-roofed adobe buildings and low brick blocks line both sides, and open grasslands and low violet mountains spread behind. A distant water tower on the right and lightly green grass suggest late summer. "MARFA" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Golden Lady Justice. A small gold statue of Lady Justice holding her scales crowns the dome.
- Wide desert street. The empty, sun-bleached avenue gives the print a calm, open feeling.
- Soft pink and sand. Powder pink, sand beige and sage green make a gentle desert palette.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Pink, sand and sage sit nicely in a minimalist living room, a bedroom with natural linen, or a creative office. Give it to an art lover who made the trip to Marfa, or to a friend with a soft spot for West Texas.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Marfa? No. It is an artistic interpretation of Marfa, and some elements, like the water tower in the background, are placed freely.
What text is printed on it? Only the name "MARFA," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
