This Lombard Street San Francisco watercolor print shows the crooked red-brick road winding down Russian Hill between beds of blooming hydrangeas, with Coit Tower ahead. It is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of the street, not an exact view.
About the artwork
Fine ink lines trace the curving brick road, the planter edges and the Victorian facades, and the hydrangeas are layered dots of blue, pink and violet. The palette is hydrangea and bay blue, hedge green and brick red, with pink blooms and the white Coit Tower as accents. The winding road fills the foreground and middle, seen from the top at Hyde Street looking east, with Victorian houses and a tall palm on either side. Telegraph Hill and Coit Tower stand ahead, with the blue bay, white sails and East Bay hills behind. It is early summer with the hydrangeas in full bloom, and pink and blue drips run down the left edge into a white paper border. "SAN FRANCISCO" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Hairpin curves. Small cars inch down the tight brick bends while visitors walk the side stairs.
- Hydrangeas in bloom. Blue, pink and violet flowers spill over the curbs of the terraced beds.
- Coit Tower ahead. The white tower on Telegraph Hill sits straight down the view, above the blue bay.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.

Styling it at home
The blues, pinks and greens look fresh in a bedroom, bathroom or sunroom with white or soft blue walls. It is a cheerful gift for someone who drove the curves on a California road trip, or for a garden lover. Pair it with our San Francisco watercolor print for a two-piece set.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Lombard Street San Francisco? No. It is an artistic interpretation of Lombard Street, and the number of curves and some nearby details are simplified.
What text is printed on it? Only the city name, "SAN FRANCISCO," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
