This Letchworth State Park watercolor print shows the broad Middle Falls of the Genesee River, with the Upper Falls and a dark steel railroad bridge behind, seen from Inspiration Point. It is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of the Genesee River gorge, not an exact view.
About the artwork
Fine grey-brown ink traces the shale layers of the gorge walls and the steel frame of the railroad bridge. The falls and foam are left as white paper, the river is washed in blue-green, and the treetops in layered green and gold. Middle Falls sits at the center, viewed from the west rim looking upstream, with Upper Falls beyond under the arched bridge. Layered grey-brown cliffs topped with forest rise on both sides, green hills fill the background, and a low stone-wall overlook sits in the left foreground. Late-spring forest sets the season, and the edges fade into green and gold streaks with drips. "LETCHWORTH" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Two falls in one view. Middle Falls in front and Upper Falls behind show the river stepping down through the gorge.
- Steel arch bridge. The dark railroad bridge across the gorge adds a strong graphic line to the soft greens.
- Hawk over the gorge. A hawk circles above while visitors sit and stand on the stone overlook wall.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.

Styling it at home
Its forest greens and river blues fit a family room, a home office or a guest room. Give it to someone who grew up near the Genesee River, or to a train fan who would enjoy the bridge.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Letchworth State Park? No. It is an artistic interpretation of Letchworth State Park, and the horseshoe curve of Middle Falls is simplified into a broad curtain of water.
What text is printed on it? Only the name "LETCHWORTH," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.

- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
