This Lake George, New York watercolor print shows the white Minne-Ha-Ha steamboat with its red paddlewheel, seen from a hillside above Lake George Village. It is a watercolor-style interpretation of the lake in autumn, not an exact view.
About the artwork
Maple crowns are layered in dabs of red, orange and gold, and the steamboat's decks and windows are drawn in fine ink. The lake is a clear blue with a white wake left as bare paper, and the distant mountains fade in pale blue-violet layers. The boat sits in the middle of the lake with small wooded islands to the right, docks, the Steel Pier and wooden boats at middle left, and the lakeside park with an octagonal gazebo, lawns and maples in the foreground. Layer upon layer of Adirondack mountains stack up behind at peak autumn. The palette is maple red and gold, lake blue and mountain violet, with the red paddlewheel as the accent. "LAKE GEORGE" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Peak fall foliage. Blazing red and gold maples frame the lake from top to bottom.
- Red paddlewheel steamer. The white stern-wheeler churns a foamy wake through the center of the print.
- Classic lake details. A mahogany runabout, two kayaks and a far-off parasail dot the water.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.

Styling it at home
Red, gold and blue bring warmth to a lodge-style living room, a den or a family kitchen in fall. Give it to someone who spent childhood summers in the Adirondacks, or as a housewarming gift for a lake house.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.

Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.
