This Krakow watercolor print looks down on the Main Market Square, with the two unequal towers of St. Mary's Basilica and the long arcades of the Cloth Hall (Sukiennice). It is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of Krakow, not an exact view of the city.
About the artwork
Fine brown ink outlines every window of the brick towers and every arch of the Cloth Hall, while the paved square is left as white paper with pale violet-grey shadows. Deep brick red and cream lead the palette, with red-orange roof tiles, amber autumn trees and copper green on the spires. The basilica stands right of center with its taller tower reaching upward, and the cream arcades of the Cloth Hall run diagonally through the middle ground on the left. Pastel townhouses ring the square, distant church towers line the horizon, and the edges break into orange and green autumn leaves. Amber chestnut leaves in the right foreground mark mid-autumn. "KRAKOW" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Horse-drawn carriage. A white carriage pulled by a white horse crosses the square.
- Flower stalls and pigeons. Flower sellers under white umbrellas and a flock of pigeons fill the plaza.
- Rich architectural detail. The ink work on the towers and arcades is especially dense and precise.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
The brick red, amber and cream feel warm in a living room, a library or a dining room with dark wood. It is a meaningful gift for someone with Polish roots or a couple celebrating a fall anniversary.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Krakow? No. It is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of Krakow's Main Market Square, painted from a high viewpoint. Proportions and small details are loosened as in any painting.
What text is printed on it? Only the city name, "KRAKOW," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
