A Kluane National Park poster with everything the Yukon has, stacked: a grizzly walking through fireweed in the foreground, a belt of black spruce behind it, a long grey lake, and a glacier spilling out of the St Elias mountains across the whole upper third.
About the artwork
The most densely layered sheet in the Canada parks series. Four bands do the work — flowering meadow, forest, water, ice — and each is painted at a different level of detail so the depth reads immediately. The bear is the closest thing in the frame, with the hump, the dished face and the pale-tipped guard hairs all drawn; the fireweed and dwarf willow around it are picked out flower by flower in magenta and cream. The glacier is the most technical passage: a broad tongue of crevassed ice, drawn in fine hatching, curving down between snow-loaded peaks.
The layout is the Canadian park service sheet used across this series: cream border, small dark capitals along the top reading YUKON · 60.76° N, 137.51° W · EST 1972, and KLUANE at the foot in heavy condensed type over NATIONAL PARK, with the Parks Canada wordmark and beaver roundel. Portrait, 2:3.
Why you'll love it
- Canada's highest mountains and largest icefields. The St Elias range and the ice that comes off it, in one frame.
- A grizzly at the right distance. Close enough to see properly, far enough that the landscape still wins.
- Magenta against ice blue. Fireweed is the Yukon's signature colour and it makes this the most vivid print in the set.
- Coordinates on the sheet. 60.76° N, 137.51° W, established 1972.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4-A1 for European frames.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang.
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
There is a lot happening in this print, so give it space rather than crowding it into a gallery wall. Warm white and cream walls suit it; espresso or walnut frames pick up the bear and the spruce. Because the four bands are so distinct, it stays legible at 16" x 24", but the glacier hatching only really opens up at 24" x 36" and above.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? Above a console or desk, 12" x 18" or 16" x 24". Above a sofa, bed or mantel, go 24" x 36" or larger so the print holds the wall.
Does it come framed? Paper and matte canvas ship unframed and fit standard frames. The framed canvas option arrives in a solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
What are the pink flowers? Fireweed, which colours the Yukon roadsides every summer. The banner along the top gives the park's coordinates and its founding year, 1972.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
