This Helena, Montana watercolor print shows the twin spires of the Cathedral of St. Helena above Victorian mansions, with Mount Helena behind. It is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of the town, not an exact view.
About the artwork
Fine ink lines carefully trace the openwork Gothic spires, the rose window and the Victorian rooflines. The mountain is a grey-violet wash dotted with dark green pines. The palette is street-tree green, stone grey and brick red, with gold crosses atop the spires and blue sky as accents. The cathedral sits upper left, seen from a hillside looking west over town, and a turreted brick mansion of the Mansion District stands middle left. A tree-lined street climbs from bottom center to the right, and Mount Helena's limestone cliffs rise behind with a lookout tower on the summit in early summer. "HELENA" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Gothic twin spires. Delicate openwork spires topped with gold crosses are drawn in fine ink detail.
- Mansion District charm. Red-brick Victorian houses with turrets line the slope below the cathedral.
- Mountain town backdrop. Pine-dotted cliffs on Mount Helena give the scene a true Montana setting.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.

Styling it at home
Its greens, greys and brick reds suit a cabin, study, bedroom or mountain-modern living room with wood and wool textures. Consider it for someone who hikes Mount Helena or once lived in Montana's capital.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Helena, Montana? No. It is an artistic interpretation of Helena, and some details, such as where the lookout tower stands and a few background buildings, are simplified or rearranged.
What text is printed on it? Only the name "HELENA," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.
