This Gyeongbokgung Palace poster stands in an empty stone courtyard early in the day, red-pillared pavilions catching the light on their deep green tiled eaves while a bare granite peak rises directly behind the roofs and glass towers show between them.
About the artwork
Flat vector shapes with fine ruled line work in the tile courses and bracket sets. Two buildings frame the view: a dark green roof cut off at the left edge on a grey stone platform, and a double-eaved pavilion on the right with vermilion columns, white plaster panels and painted bracketing in green, red and white. The courtyard fills the lower third in pale sand and cream, crossed by long soft shadows. The mountain behind is olive and sage with bare granite showing through. SEOUL is printed in white capitals with SOUTH KOREA below.
Why you'll love it
- Red, green and stone is a palette that suits warm and cool rooms alike.
- The empty courtyard gives the picture breathing space, so it never feels busy.
- Archival paper or gallery-wrapped canvas, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- Thirteen sizes and four frame finishes, including ready-to-hang framed canvas.
Where it works at home
The calm foreground and strong architecture make this an easy living room piece above a sideboard or a low bookcase. It also works in a bedroom, where the pale courtyard keeps things quiet, and it is best hung where morning light falls.
Sizes and materials
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Thirteen sizes are available, from 8 x 12 inches up to a 30 x 40 inch statement piece, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. Every piece is made to order.
Shipping and care
Each piece is printed and finished after the order is placed, then shipped in protective packaging — paper prints rolled in a rigid tube, canvas and framed canvas boxed with corner guards. Keep the artwork out of direct sunlight and wipe framed canvas with a dry, soft cloth. Paper prints are best handled by the edges until they are framed.
Questions
Which material should I choose? Paper is the most affordable option and lets you pick your own frame. Matte canvas adds depth and needs no glass. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang and is the usual choice for a feature wall.
Will the colours match what I see on screen? Printing is colour-managed, so the artwork stays very close to the preview. Paper reads slightly softer than canvas, which holds a touch more contrast.
How is this different from your other Seoul prints? The three Seoul designs sit at three different distances. This is the formal middle view: palace architecture close enough to read the painted eaves, with a wide empty courtyard and a granite mountain behind. The Bukchon Hanok Village design is a tight warm street among tiled roofs, and the N Seoul Tower design is a distant panorama.
