A Great Smoky Mountains National Park impasto oil painting, reproduced as a wide 3:2 print: layered forested ridges fading from green to hazy blue toward the horizon, above a foreground of bright pink flowering shrubs.
About the artwork
Stacked ridgelines fill the upper two-thirds, and a band of dark trees and pink flowers runs along the bottom, heavier on the right. Textured dabs build the flowers and leaves, while the far ridges are layered in smoother blues. It is the most visited national park in the United States.
Why you'll love it
- Pink and periwinkle. Spring bloom against hazy blue mountains.
- Room-filling sizes. Eleven wide sizes, up to 54" x 36" on paper and 48" x 32" on canvas.
- Texture without the upkeep. The brushwork is part of the image, so the print surface stays smooth and easy to dust.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, color-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Eleven sizes in all, A4 to A1 included: 12" x 8" to 54" x 36".
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 18" x 12" to 48" x 32".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 18" x 12" to 48" x 32".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Lovely in a guest room, a bedroom or a sunroom. Periwinkle, pink and forest green pair with painted furniture and quilts; a white frame keeps it light.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the color, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Which size works above a sofa? For a standard three-seat sofa, 36" x 24" or 48" x 32". The smaller sizes suit a console, a desk or a hallway.
Does it come framed? Paper prints ship unframed and fit standard frames. Choose a framed canvas if you would rather skip the framing shop.
How is this different from your other Great Smoky Mountains prints? This is the textured impasto version: blue ridges above blooming pink shrubs. The smoother classical oil painting is a separate design, as are the vintage travel poster, WPA, screen print, retro, mid-century, panoramic, watercolor, illustrated and landmark Great Smoky Mountains prints.
Is it a real oil painting? No. It is a high-resolution print of an oil painting; the brushwork is part of the image and the surface is smooth.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
