A Garner State Park Texas poster looking upriver along the Frio on a summer afternoon. The water runs from clear jade over the gravel bar in the foreground to deep teal in the pool, a dozen people drift past on inner tubes, and a low weir spills a white line of water below the limestone bluff that closes the valley.
About the artwork
Painterly digital illustration with fine hand-drawn foliage and ripple detail rather than flat vector shapes. The palette is deep blue sky at the top, tall cream and grey-shadowed cumulus, chalk-white limestone cliffs, forest and lime green cedar and oak, bleached bone gravel banks, and water that steps from pale jade through aquamarine to inky teal. Cypress branches frame the top two corners. Small figures in orange and blue tubes give the scale. Type sits at the bottom in bold white sans-serif: GARNER above STATE PARK • TEXAS. Portrait, 2:3.
Why you'll love it
- The tubing is in it — people on the water, not an empty postcard river, which is what makes this park a Texas summer institution.
- Water painted in layers — you can see the gravel bed through the shallows and lose it in the deep pool.
- Framed by branches — the cypress canopy at the top corners gives the composition a real sense of standing on the bank.
- Cool greens and blues — a Texas print with no red rock and no cactus in sight.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4-A1 for European frames.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang.
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Jade water, chalk limestone and green canopy make a fresh, cool palette that suits white, pale sage or soft blue walls. It looks right in the arched white alcove with plants either side shown in the photographs above, where the greens carry straight through. In a family room or a hallway, it pairs easily with light oak and rattan; avoid a heavy dark wall, which flattens the shallow water tones.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? The figures on the tubes are small, so 18" x 24" is the sensible minimum if you want them readable. Over a sofa or a bed, 24" x 36" or 30" x 40" shows the ripple detail and the weir clearly.
Does it come framed? Paper and matte canvas ship unframed. Framed canvas comes in a solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural, ready to hang.
What does the poster say? The printed type reads GARNER on the first line, with STATE PARK • TEXAS in white capitals beneath it — the park name is shortened on the artwork.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
