This Fort Wayne watercolor print shows the copper-green dome of the Allen County Courthouse rising above downtown, seen from Promenade Park on the St. Marys River in early autumn. It is a watercolor-style interpretation of the St. Marys riverfront, not an exact view.
About the artwork
The dome is a clear copper-green with white paper highlights, and fine brown ink traces the small statue on top, the columns, the steel truss bridge, the elevated walkway and boats. Autumn leaves are wet layered dots of orange, gold and red, and the river is a blue wash. The limestone courthouse sits in the middle ground on the left, downtown towers and brick warehouses rise on the right, and a steel truss bridge crosses the river. The park's treetop canopy trail stands on the left, and stepped riverside terraces with planters fill the foreground. The left edge and bottom dissolve into orange, blue and yellow blooms, drips and splatter. "FORT WAYNE" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Treetop trail. People stand on the elevated canopy walkway among the trees.
- Pontoon on the river. A covered pontoon boat carries passengers past three kayakers.
- Autumn gold and blue. River blue and autumn orange-gold lead, with limestone cream and copper green.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
The warm autumn colors suit a living room, a dining room or an office with wood and leather, and fit right into fall decorating. A thoughtful gift for a Fort Wayne native or someone who just bought a home in northeast Indiana.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Fort Wayne? No. It is an artistic interpretation of the riverfront, and the courthouse and the river are brought closer together for the composition.
What text is printed on it? Only the name "FORT WAYNE," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
