This Fairhope watercolor print shows the Fairhope Municipal Pier reaching into Mobile Bay, seen from the bluff above a rose garden and its fountain. It is a watercolor-style interpretation of the bayfront, not an exact view.
About the artwork
Fine ink lines outline the pier rails, lamp posts and the fountain, and each rose is painted in layers of red and pink. The bay is washed in clear blue with streaks of white paper for light, and a yellow-brown drip runs down the left edge, with blue and pink drips along the bottom. The pier runs from the middle out into the bay, ending in a small red-roofed pavilion, seen looking west from the bluff park. The rose garden and a tiered round fountain on a brick plaza fill the foreground, a live oak draped in Spanish moss frames the left side, and a sandy beach runs below the bluff. The low Mobile skyline with port cranes sits across the bay, and the roses in bloom mark late spring. "FAIRHOPE" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Pelicans over the bay. Three pelicans glide over the water while anglers fish from the pier.
- Rose garden fountain. Beds of red and pink roses circle a tiered fountain in the foreground.
- Spanish moss oak. A moss-draped live oak gives the scene a soft Southern frame.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Bay blue, rose pink and oak green suit a coastal living room, a sunroom, a bedroom or a guest bath. Give it as a wedding or anniversary gift for a couple who strolled the pier, or to a friend on the Alabama Gulf Coast.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Fairhope? No. It is an artistic interpretation of Fairhope's bayfront, and some details, like the Mobile skyline and the fountain, are drawn more freely.
What text is printed on it? Only the name "FAIRHOPE," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.
Paper weight, inks, frame details and care are all in our Material Guide.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
