This Door County watercolor print shows the white steepled churches of Ephraim above Eagle Harbor, seen from the rocky shore across the water. It is a watercolor-style interpretation of the village, not an exact view.
About the artwork
The calm harbor reflects the white steeples in vertical streaks of bare paper, and maple crowns are dabbed in orange, red and green. Fine ink lines draw the two clapboard churches and their tall pointed steeples, while the limestone bluffs are washed in cream and gray. The churches sit on the slope at middle left, white cottages, inns and boathouses line the shore, and the wooded bluffs of Peninsula State Park curve around the harbor at the right. Moored sailboats float in the foreground, with a rocky shore and a wooden dock at the lower left. The palette is harbor blue, church white and forest green, with maples just turning orange in early autumn. "DOOR COUNTY" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Twin white steeples. Two slender church spires rise above the village and anchor the scene.
- Mirror-calm harbor. Reflections of the steeples stretch across the still water.
- Kayaks and cyclists. Red and yellow kayaks, sailboats and cyclists on the shore road add gentle activity.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.

- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.

Styling it at home
White, blue and soft orange suit a Scandinavian-style living room, a cottage bedroom or a hallway gallery wall. It is a fitting gift for someone who vacations in Door County every fall, or for anyone with Wisconsin roots.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Door County? No. It is an artistic interpretation of Ephraim and Eagle Harbor. The viewpoint and shoreline are adjusted for the composition.
What text is printed on it? Only the name "DOOR COUNTY," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
