This Cottesloe Beach Perth poster looks down a pine-shaded slope to a long curve of pale sand and water that shifts from bright turquoise to deep navy. A white domed pavilion sits at the top of the beach beside a rock groyne, while limestone boulders and dune grass fill the cool foreground shade.
About the artwork
A flat vector travel-poster illustration built from crisp layered shapes rather than photographic detail. The palette moves from a clear cobalt sky through sparkling deep blue ocean into bright turquoise shallows, cream sand, and the olive and blue-green of Norfolk Island pine canopy. Branches sweep in across the top left corner, and the foreground trees throw long blue shadows over the dune, so the eye travels down and out to the bay. Sunlight on the water is drawn as small scattered white flecks. The typography is printed in white across the upper sky: PERTH in wide spaced capitals above a lighter, smaller AUSTRALIA. A white margin surrounds the image. Portrait, 2:3.
Why you'll love it
- A real sense of depth. Foreground pines, a mid-ground beach and open ocean give the print a view-through-the-trees feeling that flat coastal art rarely has.
- Turquoise that carries a room. The band of shallow water is the brightest thing on the page and reads clearly from across a hallway.
- A recognisable landmark. The white domed pavilion and its rock groyne anchor the scene for anyone who knows the Perth coast.
- Calm rather than busy. No crowds or signage, just sand, water and pine shadow, which suits rooms meant for winding down.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4–A1 for European frames.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang.
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
The cobalt and turquoise here are strong, so give them a quiet ground: chalk white, warm oyster or a soft sand-beige wall all let the water do the work. Pale oak and rattan pick up the cream sand, while a dark walnut or black frame sharpens the pine shadows. It sits well in a bathroom or a west-facing bedroom where afternoon light hits it, and pairs naturally with linen bedding, jute underfoot and a single trailing green plant.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? Above a sofa or bed, 24" x 36" or 30" x 40" holds the wall. For a shelf, desk or narrow hallway, 12" x 18" or A3 is easier to place.
Does it come framed? Paper and matte canvas ship unframed. Framed canvas comes in a solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
Is the beach view identifiable? Yes — the domed pavilion, the rock groyne and the row of Norfolk Island pines are all drawn in, so the location reads clearly without any place name beyond the printed line.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.

- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
