This Coronado watercolor print shows Hotel del Coronado stretched along the sand, its red octagonal tower flying an American flag above Coronado Beach and the Pacific Ocean. It is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of Coronado, not an exact view of the city.
About the artwork
Fine ink lines detail the hotel's porch railings, windows and pointed roofs, while the waves curl in turquoise strokes with white foam left unpainted. White wood and orange-red roofs pair with ocean blue and beige sand, accented by palm green and red roses on the dunes. The hotel spans from the left into the center with its flag-topped tower in the upper third, and the beach curves diagonally from lower left to right. A dune with a sparse wooden fence and ice plant fills the foreground, a hazy coastal headland sits far behind, and the warm, sunny light hints at early fall. "CORONADO" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Red turret roofline. The hotel's red octagonal tower and pointed roofs stand out against a pale blue sky.
- Couple at the shoreline. Two figures stroll at the water's edge while a surfer and a white sailboat share the sea.
- Dune foreground. Weathered fence posts, ice plant and red roses frame the beach from below.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Crisp white, red and ocean blue suit a classic coastal bedroom, a hallway gallery wall or a navy-and-white living room. Give it as an anniversary gift to a couple who married or vacationed on Coronado.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Coronado? No. It is an artistic interpretation of the hotel and the beach, arranged to show the tower, the shoreline and the dunes together.
What text is printed on it? Only the city name, "CORONADO," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
