This Cheyenne watercolor print shows the Cheyenne Depot and its clock tower at the end of Capitol Avenue, with the depot plaza in front. It is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of Cheyenne, not an exact view of the city.
About the artwork
Sandstone is washed in sandy yellow with bands of orange-red, brown ink defines the arched windows and clock tower, and the street is kept pale so the paper reads as sunlight. Sand, sandstone orange and green lead the palette, with slate-gray roofs, blue-violet mountains, pink and purple hanging baskets and red brick storefronts. The depot sits at center at the end of the avenue with its tower reaching the top third, and 19th-century brick blocks with striped awnings line both sides. A steam train, open plains and a distant mountain range appear behind. Dry, clear air and green trees suggest midsummer, and orange-pink and blue washes spill from the left edge with thin drips and splatter around a white paper border. "CHEYENNE" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Old West street life. Cowboys in hats walk and ride across the plaza near a horse-drawn freight wagon.
- Clock tower centerpiece. The depot's clock tower with four corner spires anchors the long avenue view.
- Hanging flower baskets. Pink and purple baskets hang from the lamp posts along the street.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Sandy golds and warm oranges fit a western-themed living room, an office or a hallway with leather and rustic wood. It is a fun gift for rodeo fans, rail history lovers or anyone heading to Wyoming.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Cheyenne? No. It is an artistic interpretation of Cheyenne. The mountains on the horizon are drawn taller and snowier than in real life for effect.
What text is printed on it? Only the city name, "CHEYENNE," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
